Murray Bridge Hospital, The concept of the development of the hospital at Murray Bridge was first publicly conceived at a general meeting held on 13th January, 1919. It was decided to proceed with the development of a hospital that would be dedicated as Soldier's Memorial. The Minister for Health the Hon. Lea Stevens officially announced cabinet approval for $11.3m redevelopment for the Murray Bridge Soldiers' Memorial Hospital Inc in October 2004. It is anticipated that commencement of the redevelopment project will begin in October 2004 and anticipated to be completed in 2006. Murray Bridge Hosptial - Maternity, Aboriginal liaison officer, Community Midwife, Hospital Physiotherapist, Hospital Social Worker, Student and Work experience placements, Ambulance, Casualty and outpatient service, Clergy, Day Surgery, Helipad, Interpreter Service, Telephone, Telvision, Mental Health Service, Occupational Therapy, Palliative Care, Physiothereapy Services, Podiatry Services, Speech Pathology Services, The medical Imaging Department has had equipment upgrades in the form of a state-of-the-art Shimadzu X-ray machine and two new Philips 5000 Ultrasonic machines. The ultrasound machines provide high-resolution quality images, incorporating the latest technology in 2D, 3D and Doppler ultrasound. Regular upgrades of the equipment ensure the best possible imaging for the local community.
